    Who we are

Group Benefits Source, Inc. ("GBS") is based in Bloomington, Illinois. Questions about this policy? Email groupbenefits.roger@gmail.com or call (309) 452-7970.

    Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

With your permission, we use Google Analytics 4 to see how visitors use our site so we can improve it. Analytics only loads after you click "Accept" on the cookie banner. If you click "Reject," or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, Google Analytics is not loaded and no analytics cookies are set.

We do not use advertising features, we do not sell your data, and advertising-related consent signals always stay off.

    What data is collected

If you accept, Google Analytics collects:

    • Pages you view and how long you stay
    • Approximate location (city or region, not your exact address)
    • Device type, browser, and screen size
    • The website that referred you

We send only the page address without any search terms or extra parameters. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store full IP addresses. We do not collect names, emails, or other personal details through analytics.

    Cookies and storage

    NamePurposeRetention
_gaGoogle Analytics: tells visitors apart2 years
_ga_<ID>Google Analytics: keeps session state2 years
gbs_consentRemembers your Accept/Reject choice (browser local storage, not a cookie)Until you clear your browser data

The _ga cookies are only set if you accept.

    Other services

Our fonts are hosted on our own site, so no font provider receives your information. The site has no contact form, so we don't collect anything you type. If you call or email us, we use your details only to respond to you.

Like every web host, our hosting provider (currently GitHub Pages) handles basic request information such as your IP address so it can deliver the site.

    Changing your preferences

You can change your choice anytime with the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer of every page. If you switch from Accept to Reject, analytics is turned off and the Google Analytics cookies are deleted. You can also clear cookies and site data in your browser settings.
